Every story has a beginning, and for my Star Wars creations, it was a Boba Fett costume, originally made in ESB style. When I built R2-D2, carbonite me, and a Slave Leia costume, it made sense to move them all to Return Of The Jedi styling for consistency. When I started building the Millenium Falcon, I wanted it to match too, only that movie didn't feature the Falcon lounge... so I went largely for The Force Awakens styling with hints of other movies for cases where a part isn't well shown in TFA. The Dejarik area control panel (ATM) was made using a 6-drawer dresser as a base, cutting out a few holes on the side for greeble panels. The top panel frame was cut with a table saw, but I used a laser for the cutouts and etchings. The greebles were mostly 3-D printed, created based on images from the movies / behind the scenes shots, and sometimes incorporating greebles others have made. To keep the dresser functional, I added a few extra knobs, and made the table/shelf retractable (locking heavy duty drawer slides). The blue and white squares are table saw cut acrylic with either a single LED or an LED bar behind them and aluminum tape over that to prevent light leakage. The rectangular lit panels are sidelit 3d printed cases, with clear acrylic fronts, and thin tape stripes over that for detailing.
The farm chair was made with a tractor seat atop a stool, with a cardboard cement form used as the base decoration and the perimeter around the seat. The stool seemed a little low as-is, so I also made an extender out of metal & plastic tubing to raise it up. It's a little precarious, as the base perimeter is only stabilized by the plastic pipe - someday I'll have to replace that with a bent metal pipe or use a wider metal circle in the center. The nav chair was also made with a stool and cement foam base, with laser cut pieces similar to goldernarmor's design but with a split back rest, and longer chair back panel and replacing many parts with 3d printed or kitbashed ones I designed for it. Random junk used to make the side mechanisms includes: tripod parts, a gas piston, MDF board & various sizes of pipe. Most of the "rivets" are thumbtacks. and the bent back panels are more of the cardboard cement form tube, reinforced with laser cut wood ribs. The nav vent is a mix of models including my own, and from JMaruska & asmaticsamurai. The pads are painted foam ones from aliexpress, cut to size, and surrounded with backer foam. I painted the 2pt harness with a coblestone texture roller.
